A company website made accessible
An audit against WCAG 2.1 level AA and fixes for the main problems, keyboard navigation and colour contrast, until the site conformed.
Where it started
The company’s website had to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, the criteria accessibility law requires. The two main problems were keyboard navigation and colour contrast.
What I did
I audited the site against WCAG 2.1 AA and then fixed the theme so the whole site could be used from the keyboard.
For contrast, together with the client, we chose new colours that met the requirements.
What changed
The whole site works from the keyboard, the colours meet the required contrast and the site conformed to WCAG 2.1 AA.
